Subsidence Reinstatement

Subsidence Reinstatement

Subsidence occurs when the ground starts to sink which causes movement to the foundations. This is not to be confused with heave which occurs when the ground has an upward movement, both can cause similar damage. Clay soils are particularly vulnerable since they shrink and swell according to their moisture content. Vegetation e.g trees and shrubs suck the moisture from the clay soil and can cause it to shrink. This is more likely to occur in dry weather. Foundations can be underpinned and crack repairs carried out using Helibars with grout inserted or a resin injection to the masonry as required. All plastering and decorating completed.
